Bella H

Mixed Breed · Female

Beautiful Bella turns 5 next month, her owner has had to make this sad decision to find her a new home after a change in both his living and working circumstances which has resulted in Bella spending too much time in kennels. Bella is a very loving girl who is good as gold in the house and absolutely loves playing ball games in the garden or the park and going for long scenic walks. She also loves traveling in her owners van and spending time at work with him when it was possible. She’s a loyal girl and can seem protective of her owner, they have just moved to a new home and she’s struggling being left, in her previous home she could be left for 2-3 hours after exercise, but since moving she’s shown signs of separation anxiety by pacing and panting and more recently barking, she’s never destroyed anything but soon after the move she did go to the loo two times when she was left. Bella is great off lead meeting other dogs she will happily play with them and if she is told off by another dog she is very respectful and will accept it and move on. On lead she’s less confident and will bark at some dogs, she’s not a fan of unknown white fluffy ones while she’s on lead, but will play with them off lead. Bella’s recall is around 80% good to the whistle but she can get easily distracted, she has been clay pigeon shooting she loved it but did get too excited. Bella can bark at people in high Visibility jackets even though she’s used to seeing her dad wearing his. On lead she’s can be strong and has accidentally taken a family member off her feet with an unexpected change of direction. Bella responds well to the whistle and knows the wait and down commands. She is neutered and is up to date with her flea and worm treatments. She’s fed kibble but her owner says that chicken upsets her stomach so one flavour to stay away from. She’s been fine around children that she’s met but she hasn’t lived with any. Around livestock she’s been fine on her slip lead around them, just walking past. She has chased cats but when a few have stood their ground fearless Bella has retreated to the safety of her dad at lightening speed. Bella’s a great traveller and is happy to go anywhere and everywhere as long as she’s with you. She responds to the whistle for her recall and down and wait commands. If you think you can offer this beautiful girl company and lots of attention and ball games while helping build her confidence on lead, please contact us. Bella is currently int the Chesterfield area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks free Agria Insurance and her Adoption Contract. About Bella H

What life with Bella H looks like

Bella H is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at GSP Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bella H, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bella H?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GSP Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bella H on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bella H if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GSP Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bella H already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bella H isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GSP Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bella H and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
