Bella

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

Bella is a sweet, small-sized dog measuring about 38 centimeters in height and weighing around 10 kilos. Moreover, Bella has a friendly character and exudes a great deal of calmness. Bella was found heavily pregnant on the streets of Aiud. Fortunately, she was rescued in time, ensuring that both she and her puppies received the care they so desperately needed. During her stay with rescuer Daniela, it quickly became clear just how loving and gentle Bella is. She’s a modest and friendly dog who doesn’t want to be a burden to anyone. In addition, Bella gets along well with other dogs and also has no trouble interacting with cats. Furthermore, she’s kind toward children and thoroughly enjoys human company. She doesn’t seek out conflicts and instead showcases her calm and social nature. Although Bella had a difficult start in life, she has remained a positive and loving dog. For this reason, she deserves a family that can give her the attention, safety, and security she has been waiting for so long. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who loves being part of everyday life and is happy with love, a warm bed, and lovely walks. Bella is ready to leave her past behind and begin a new chapter. That’s why we hope someone soon crosses her path who sees her exactly as she is: a sweet, social, and modest dog with a heart of gold, who longs more than anything else to finally have her own home. Could you give Bella the loving home she so deeply desires and let her experience what it feels like to finally belong somewhere forever? About Bella

What life with Bella looks like

Bella is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Help een Hond in Netherlands.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Help een Hond handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Help een Hond will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Help een Hond early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
