He has a lovely, gentle nature and a wonderfully sweet temperament—but he is also a real social butterfly! Benji is great with strangers and loves nothing more than rolling over to show new friends his belly. He enjoys meeting everyone, whether they have two legs or four, and happily accompanies his foster family to the local pub, on doggy playdates and on trips to Redfields Garden Centre, where he receives plenty of attention and cuddles. He loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but he is confident and people-focused enough to live happily as an only dog. He could therefore be considered for a home with or without another suitable resident dog. Benji also enjoys playing with children and would make a lovely addition to a family. He is good on the lead, enjoys getting out and about, and approaches new people and experiences with enthusiasm. Naturally eager to please and extremely food-focused, Benji should be a very rewarding puppy to train. Food is definitely the way to his heart—and makes teaching him new things much easier! Benji is expected to grow to approximately Labrador size when fully grown, similar to his mum, Sunshine. He is still a young puppy and will need the usual patience, guidance and consistency as he continues learning about the world. With ongoing training, socialisation and plenty of love, Benji has all the makings of a wonderful family companion. Benji is fully vaccinated and has had comprehensive health checks, including: Most of our dogs have been found abandoned as young pups, discarded as unwanted litters, as is often the case in Portugal where neutering is not as common as in the UK.
