Meet our big, friendly lad, Billy! Billy arrived at Battersea after his previous owner’s circumstances changed. He was described as a very friendly boy who loves attention, and he was especially fond of the children in his home. Kennel life has been stressful for Billy, but he’s taken it in his stride and has shown to be a friendly boy with staff and other dogs on site. He loves a good groom and pottering along beside his handler with his nose to the ground. Billy is looking for a family home with some experience of shepherd breeds, where his care can be shared. He can struggle when left alone, so his new owners will need to build up his time alone gradually. Billy enjoys the company of other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home and he could live with teens who understand the importance of respecting his boundaries. He is not suited to living with cats. Billy is looking for an outer city home with access to quieter walking routes. A private garden would be preferred, but as he’s a bit of an escape artist, it will need to be secure with high fencing and locked gates. He is a big lad that can pull on the lead at times so owners will need to be able to manage his size & strength and be prepared for ongoing training in this area.
