Triple A Benelux: Input July 30, 2026: Little Bingo has been with us for just a few days. He was found as a puppy and adopted, but unfortunately this active Podenco turned out not to be a good match for the family, and so he ended up with us. Bingo is a true Podenco: curious and with a strong hunting instinct. He spots butterflies and grasshoppers like no other and then loves nothing more than chasing them. Anything that moves catches his attention. He’s a little smartie and a very fast learner. Commands such as “sit” or “here” are a piece of cake for him. He absolutely loves training—obedience, agility, tricks, and more. He wants to learn it all. On the one hand, sufficient physical challenge is important for him; on the other hand, he needs to learn how to maintain his focus, keep a certain level of calm, and listen well. With hunting-driven dogs, it’s not advisable to spend too much time on retrieving exercises, but rather to focus on scent work and nose work, as well as teaching tricks. That way, Bingo will find it easier to concentrate and will also be able to listen better. He’s wonderfully fun to be around with people. Although he can still be a bit shy in new situations, he adapts super quickly. It’s really fun to teach Bingo new things, and having a snack in between makes it even easier. He absolutely loves treats! Experience with Podencos is a must for this wonderful fellow. Moreover, Bingo would love to be surrounded by an older brother or sister (Podenco or similar breed). Ideally, his new home would also offer him a safe outdoor space. At the time of writing, his shoulder height is (still) 36 cm. We anticipate that he’ll eventually grow into a medium-sized Podenco. Soon you’ll be calling out: “BINGO”!!!……? Then you’ll have won a truly special and beautiful gift with this little guy!!

Besproken via het asiel, 13 augustus 2026 Triple A Benelux: Input 30 juli 2026: Kleine Bingo is pas sinds een paar dagen bij ons. Hij is als puppy gevonden en geadopteerd, maar helaas bleek deze actieve Podenco geen goede match voor het gezin en is hij uiteindelijk bij ons belandt.Bingo is een echte Podenco: nieuwsgierig en met een sterk jachtinstinct. Hij detecteert vlinders en sprinkhanen als geen ander en jaagt ze vervolgens maar al te graag op. Alles wat beweegt heeft zijn aandacht. Het is een kleine slimmerik en een heel snelle leerling. Commando’s zoals “zit” of “hier” zijn gesneden koek voor hem. Hij is dol op training: gehoorzaamheid, behendigheid, trucjes etc. Hij wil het allemaal leren. Enerzijds is voldoende fysieke uitdaging belangrijk voor hem en anderzijds moet hij leren om zijn focus te houden, een mate van rust te bewaren en goed te leren luisteren.Bij jacht gedreven honden is het niet aan te raden teveel bezig te zijn met apporteren, maar juist met speur- en neuswerk aan de slag te gaan als ook het aanleren van kunstjes. Bingo zal zich dan makkelijker kunnen focussen en ook beter kunnen luisteren. Hij is geweldig leuk met mensen. Ondanks dat hij in nieuwe situaties nog wat verlegen kan zijn, past hij zich super snel aan. Het is echt leuk om Bingo dingen te leren en met een snackje tussendoor wordt dit extra makkelijk gemaakt. Hij is dol op traktaties!Ervaring met Podenco’s is een must voor deze kanjer. Bingo zou het bovendien geweldig vinden als hij omringd zou kunnen worden door een ouder broertje of zusje (Podenco of soortgelijk ras). Zijn nieuwe thuis biedt hem liefst ook een veilige buitenruimte. Op dit moment van schrijven, is zijn schouderhoogte (nog) 36 cm. We gaan uit van uiteindelijk ongeveer een medium size Podenco. Roept u binnenkort: “BINGO”!!!……? Dan heeft u een heel bijzonder en fraai cadeau gewonnen met dit mannetje!!
