Imola is housed at the Swiss Ranch. We provide support services for the Swiss Ranch Animal Shelter. Imola's monthly care costs on average 100.00 CHF, for which we seek sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorships are covered as follows: Mrs. M. D. 15.00 CHF, Mr. Dr. B. G. 50.00 CHF, Mrs. B. P. 20.00 CHF, and from March 2026, Mrs. U. H. 15.00 CHF. One-time donations: 0.00 CHF, total so far: 270.00 CHF ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Description October 2025: Imola is housed together with Jo. She feels comfortable in her large enclosure and likes to bask in the sun. One can see her age, but she is happy when people come to her enclosure and she wags her tail at them. Imola needs a home that requires nothing more from her and is already equipped. Higher veterinary costs must also be expected. April 2018: Imola was able to experience a life in freedom for almost a year, settle in, and enjoy it. Then there was no time for her and her friend Andy. Now, Imola, together with Andy, is back in Hungary, and since both are really unproblematic and character-strong animals, they have quickly reacclimatized and settled in their old environment. Despite this, we would like to give Imola a new chance and wish very much that she and her friend are rediscovered! Imola is a nice, friendly, and lively bumblebee. Imola knows cats, children, and she likes to be on a leash and enjoys all people equally. Despite her mobility impairment, Imola loves walks very much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Background: Imola is a hound that came from Szentes to the Animal Shelter because she could not be adequately cared for there, given her handicap. We wonder what a young puppy must endure, and she is not even a year old. Imola, despite her severe impairment, is a lively young girl who loves to be stroked. With fellow animals, Imola also gets along well. The little one was already examined at the University Clinic in Budapest, where it was determined that she had either been in an accident or there is a genetic defect. Her spine is very deformed, and the muscle development of the hind leg is incorrect. The dog needs regular physiotherapy to possibly correct this misalignment. Unfortunately, no surgical intervention is possible. We wish for Imola someone who can continue the physiotherapy that has already begun so that she has the chance to lead a normal dog life. We are looking for a forever home for Imola and sponsors who can help cover our monthly expenses for accommodation, treatment, and physiotherapy. *Should more donations than specified be received, they will be used for the association's purposes. About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
