Nilla is housed at the Swiss Ranch. We provide placement assistance for the Tierschutz-Zentrum/Swiss Ranch. The monthly care for Nilla costs on average 100,-CHF, for which we seek sponsors. For 2026, monthly sponsorships are covered as follows: One-time donations: 0,-CHF Total so far: 0,-CHF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Description April 2026: Nilla came to the animal shelter with her puppies over the course of a friend's animal welfare volunteer. There, she diligently cares for her little ones and is lovingly cared for during this important time. Once her puppies are old enough, Nilla may also move into her own home and start a new chapter. Nilla is a medium-sized hound with a shoulder height of about 48 cm and a very affectionate, caring mother. She currently shows a bit of reserve but greets people kindly and openly. She enjoys quiet moments but can also be playful, showing her gentle and balanced nature. Towards her puppies, she is extremely devoted and tenderly cares for them. Currently, she still protects her little ones from other dogs, which is a natural behavior and will be assessed more precisely at a later point without puppies. For Nilla, we are looking for a quiet, loving home where she can settle down and relax after raising her puppies. Patient people who give her time, build trust, and open up further are ideal for her. A structured daily routine, lots of affection, and a secure retreat help her to settle in. With the right companionship, she will develop into a loyal and balanced companion. *Should more donations than specified be received, they will be used for association purposes. About Bitte spenden Sie hier

What life with Bitte spenden Sie hier looks like

Bitte spenden Sie hier is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. in Schnarup-Thumby.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bitte spenden Sie hier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bitte spenden Sie hier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bitte spenden Sie hier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bitte spenden Sie hier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bitte spenden Sie hier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bitte spenden Sie hier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe-Ungarn e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bitte spenden Sie hier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
