Hello, I am Blacky, a 13-year-old male cat. Unfortunately, my previous owner could no longer care for me and I found this change quite difficult. At first, everything was quite scary and I preferred to stay in a corner. I like to observe from a distance and really need time to get to know new people. Now that the ice has broken and I feel a bit more free, I like to sit with my caregivers for a cuddle. I especially like to sit on someone's lap so I can snuggle against their neck. I don't play much anymore, I've had my time, although I do enjoy catching a bird from time to time. I was used to being able to go outside whenever I wanted in my previous home, so I'm looking for a home where I can do that again. When my staff is outside, I like to be there and I'd like to help. I'm looking for a not too busy household. I'm not really a fan of children, so if they come over regularly, I don't feel comfortable around them. I'm not really a fan of other cats either, so I'm looking for a place where I can be the only cat. Do you have the patience to give me the time I need to get used to my new home? Hallo ik ben Blacky, een afwachtende kater van 13. Helaas kon mijn vorige baasje niet meer voor mij zorgen en die verandering vond ik best lastig. In het begin vond ik alles nogal eng en bleef ik liever in een hoekje zitten. Ik kijk graag de kat uit de boom en heb echt tijd nodig om nieuwe mensen te leren kennen. Nu het ijs eenmaal gebroken is en ik me wat vrijer voel, kom ik graag even bij mijn verzorgers zitten voor een knuffel. Het liefst zit ik bij iemand op schoot zodat ik vervolgens nog even lekker tegen een nek aan kan kruipen. Ik speel niet zo heel veel meer, die tijd heb ik gehad, hoewel ik het af en toe wel leuk vindt om een vogeltje vangen. Ik was in mijn vorige huis gewend om naar buiten te kunnen wanneer ik dat wilde dus ik zoek een huis waar ik weer lekker naar buiten kan. Als mijn personeel buiten bezig is vind ik het leuk om er bij te zijn en kom ik graag helpen. Ik zoek een niet al te druk huishouden. Kinderen zijn dan ook niet aan mij besteed dus als die regelmatig over de vloer komen voel ik mij daar niet senang bij. Andere katten zijn ook niet zo mijn ding dus ik zoek een plekje waar ik enig-kat mag zijn. Heeft u het geduld om mij de tijd te geven die ik nodig heb om aan mijn nieuwe huis te wennen?
