Blair🌑 Meet Blair. From the very first moment you meet him, he has a magical way of warming your heart and making you feel instantly loved. I fell head over paws for him the second he hopped out of the van. He pressed himself gently against me and looked up with so much love in his eyes that I instantly knew he was going to be one of the kindest and most special boys we have ever had. And it turns out everyone feels exactly the same. One meeting with Blair and you will completely understand why he has become such a much-loved little showstopper here at the kennels. He has that rare kind of charm that quietly wraps around your heart before you even realise it has happened.Blair is an easy-going, affectionate soul who dreams of nothing more than a cosy sofa to stretch out on with his forever humans close beside him. He takes life exactly as it comes, calm, content, and always happy to go with the flow. Outgoing, confident, and friendly with everyone and everything he meets, Blair is the absolute definition of a gentleman. We constantly forget that he is actually one of our youngest hounds because he is so mature, settled, and easy-going for his age. He carries himself with such kindness and softness that being around him feels completely effortless. One thing that never fails to make me laugh about Blair is his bark, although honestly it barely sounds like a bark at all. The first time I heard it, I nearly jumped out of my skin because it is such a loud and funny little noise. Every morning he greets us with it to politely let us know we need to hurry up because clearly the breakfast and walk service must remain top tier at all times. It is impossible not to smile around him because he has such a sunny personality and a wonderfully happy-go-lucky spirit that brightens even the dullest of days.Blair radiates kindness in absolutely everything he does. He has such a soft, thoughtful nature that every moment spent in his company feels peaceful and comforting. He truly carries all the very best traits of a classic male greyhound, gentle, settled, affectionate, and endlessly lovable. From day one, he slotted right into life here as though he had always been part of the family, and he has won over every single person he has met since.Though soft and gentle, Blair also has the loveliest cheeky streak that keeps everyone smiling. There is such warmth and happiness about him, and with a tail that seems to wag even in his sleep, he greets each morning with pure joy, reminding everyone around him that life really is good.In fact, his tail wags so much that he has actually managed to give himself a little case of happy tail. Luckily it is not too bad, but honestly that tail never stops moving. I am forever telling him he is going to fly away if he is not careful. His happiness is completely infectious and impossible not to fall in love with. Blair has such a beautiful way of showing affection without ever being overwhelming. A quiet lean into your side, a gentle nudge of his nose, or resting his head softly in your lap are his little ways of saying he loves you. They are warm reminders that he is always right there beside you.Blair absolutely adores people and truly thrives on affection. He is always ready for fuss, cuddles, and love, and every single time he gives his whole heart completely. His kindness is sincere, his loyalty is unshakeable, and his ability to make you feel loved from the very first second is one of his most magical traits. He is the perfect balance of calm affection, playful charm, and soft steady companionship. There is such a quiet confidence about him too. Blair is not loud with his love, but it runs incredibly deep. He will gently press himself against you or rest his head in your lap as if to say, “I am yours.” He lights up even the gloomiest days with his soft smiles and sweet ways.Blair really is the ultimate bundle of comfort, kindness, and heart. Somewhere out there is a sofa with his name written all over it, and when he finds it, his forever family will feel like they have truly won the greyhound lottery. I honestly believe Blair is one of the most loving dogs I have ever met. Everything he does comes straight from that big generous heart of his. He gives his love so freely and completely, and he deserves a family who will give him that same love right back.People mean the absolute world to Blair, and with him by your side, you will feel forever loved, forever smiling, and forever grateful that you chose this beautiful boy. He has been nothing but the best boy since the moment he arrived at the kennels, and I truly believe there is not a single bad bone in his body. He is so full of love and always ready to give his heart to those who deserve it. His kindness and caring nature are such a gift, and whoever welcomes Blair home will not only gain a wonderful dog, but a best friend for life whose love will stay with them forever.Blair has settled into life here at Clarks Farm with complete ease, as though he was always meant to be part of our little family. As long as he can enjoy a few snuggles and be close to his people, this boy is as content as can be. I already know Blair will settle into home life just as beautifully as he has settled in here, quietly slotting himself into the hearts and routines of his forever family like he has always belonged there. If it is not obvious already, I am utterly in love with this sweetheart. Someone out there is about to become the luckiest person in the world because this little darling is one of the most loving hounds you could ever hope to meet. There is just something so special about him that makes everyone feel instantly safe, calm, and completely adored.Blair is an incredibly social boy, both with humans and with his fellow hounds. He truly gets along with everyone, giving off warm, friendly vibes wherever he goes. Every human and hound he meets seems to fall instantly under his spell, and honestly, we have not met a single soul who has not adored him from the very first moment. His sunny nature, soft heart, and easy-going charm make him such a joy to be around, and it is impossible not to be swept up in his gentle, endless affection. He has that lovely kind of personality that just makes life feel lighter and happier.Blair has become our go-to boy for Meet the Breed sessions ever since he entered our care. He has met multiple families and shown them exactly how amazing greyhounds can be. People have not only fallen completely in love with him, but with the breed as a whole because of the way he carries himself with such kindness and calm confidence. He has even helped some of his friends find their forever homes, and now it really is his turn. One of my favourite things has been watching him with children during these sessions. Some of them arrived feeling nervous or unsure, but Blair seemed to instinctively know exactly how to win them over with his calm, gentle presence. He is so emotionally in tune with humans, both big and small, and it is honestly one of the loveliest things about him.He is currently sharing his kennel with Rosie, and the two of them get along beautifully. They really are like two peas in a pod, often snuggled up together and sharing the sweetest little moments. Because Blair is naturally such a social and gentle boy, he would have no trouble living with another greyhound or even a small calm group of hounds in his forever home. Every dog he meets seems to adore him, and we know he would fit in beautifully with friendly companions. That said, Blair is also wonderfully independent and happy to go with the flow. Since he absolutely adores humans above all else, he would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love, fuss, and cuddles for himself.Blair is a huge fan of humans of all ages and has been nothing but gentle and lovely with every child he has met here. He would happily live in a family home with older dog savvy children who are confident a

About Blair

What life with Blair looks like

Blair is a large young adult greyhound dog waiting at Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blair, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blair?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blair on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blair if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Blair already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blair isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blair and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
