Blanco

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Alvia, La Voix Des Animaux Puppy, 9 months, male Born in July 2024 Type: Shepherd / Griffon mix Weight: 20 kilos "Alone, terrified, beside his mother's body: the horror Blanco endured." Blanco's story is not a fairy tale. It is a brutal account of the cruelty of the streets and of incredible human indifference. A few months ago, Blanco, a puppy of only 9 months, was discovered in an unbearably sad scene. He was there, terrified, his body trembling from hunger and fear, huddled against the body of his mother, who had been dead for several days. He had waited, cried, and hoped for a sign of life, without success. Meanwhile, life went on around him. Dozens of people passed by. Footsteps, voices, glances... but to Blanco, he was invisible. His cries were inaudible, his despair just a detail in the commotion of the city. The horror of his situation was not enough to break the bubble of selfishness. Passersby didn't care, leaving this small, thin, traumatized creature to face the unthinkable. When the association's volunteers found him, Blanco was little more than a shadow. Thin and exhausted, he bore the physical and psychological scars of abandonment and terror. He had lost all faith in humans. But this is where the true story of resilience begins. At the boarding facility, our volunteers undertook exceptional work to build his trust and provide positive education. Every caress, every meal, every moment of play was a brick in rebuilding his broken heart. Blanco has regained weight, but above all, he has regained his confidence, strongly. Today, Blanco is living proof that love can overcome cruelty. He is playful, cuddly, a true sweetheart who gets along wonderfully with everyone: dogs, cats, and children. He is the coolest, most loving puppy, despite the past he had to face alone. Blanco is ready to forgive the world. He is only waiting for the family who will know how to

About Blanco

What life with Blanco looks like

Blanco is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Alvia La Voix Des Animaux in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blanco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blanco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Alvia La Voix Des Animaux handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blanco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blanco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Alvia La Voix Des Animaux will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Blanco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Blanco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Alvia La Voix Des Animaux early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blanco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
