Alvia, The Voice of Animals What if happiness were purring at your door? Sometimes, miracles come down to a single glance. This is the story of Crème, a magnificent 2-year-old cat of the Siamese type. We found her only recently, lying in the full sun in a corner of the street. Dozens of people walked right past her without seeing her, as if she were transparent. A little water, a caress, a gesture of comfort... that was all she needed. Fortunately, our volunteers did not ignore her. Rushed to the veterinarian, Crème was placed on an IV drip to rehydrate. With infinite patience, she let herself be cared for without ever complaining, slowly regaining her strength. Today, Crème is revealing her true personality, and her name suits her well: she is a real pearl. Gentle, cuddly, and a great purrer, she is the ideal companion. She gets along well with other cats and dogs, and she adores children. Crème has known the worst of human indifference. Let us give her the best: a family for life. ✅ OK Cats: She will make an ideal napping companion for another feline. ✅ OK Dogs: A calm and respectful canine friend? She'll say yes! ✅ OK Children: Gentle children who know how to respect an animal are welcome. She is living proof that love does not need eyes to be felt. Crème has already used one of her nine lives. Help us make the other eight wonderful. She is looking for a loving family to forget her past and give all the love she has to offer. Are you looking for a rare pearl? You've found her. Health: Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed. About Crème

What life with Crème looks like

Crème is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at Alvia La Voix Des Animaux in France.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Crème, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Crème?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Alvia La Voix Des Animaux handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Crème on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Crème if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Alvia La Voix Des Animaux will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Crème already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Crème isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Alvia La Voix Des Animaux early rather than rehoming privately; they know Crème and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
