Alvia, La Voix Des Animaux Female, spayed, vaccinated Type: Small-size Husky Weight: 16 kilos Born in June 2023 STOP! Look at this photo. It tells a story no one should ever have to live. A few months ago, her small body lay motionless under a blazing sun. Dehydrated, injured, abandoned to cruelty and general indifference. Born in June 2023, this female dog endured a silent agony, on the brink of death, alone in a corner of a street. An unbearable image, a glaring injustice. But at ALVIA La Voix des Animaux, we refuse to let such stories end this way. Our volunteers snatched her from death, provided her with intensive care, specialized nutrition and, above all, a mountain of love. A love she had clearly never known. Her gentleness, her gratitude, her ability to trust despite the horror of her past are a heartbreaking testament to resilience. Today, she weighs 16 kilos, a small-size dog overflowing with life. She has settled into our boarding facility, where she has discovered the joy of living. She loves children, plays with other dogs and remains calm around cats. Every day, she shows us that cruelty has not broken her, but has strengthened her desire to love and be loved. Compatibility: OK with dogs / OK with cats / OK with children 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 If you would like to apply to adopt her, contact us by private message or fill out our adoption form, click HERE Female, spayed, vaccinated

About Vicky

What life with Vicky looks like

Vicky is a young adult husky dog waiting at Alvia La Voix Des Animaux in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vicky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vicky?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Alvia La Voix Des Animaux handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vicky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vicky if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Alvia La Voix Des Animaux will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Vicky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vicky isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Alvia La Voix Des Animaux early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vicky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
