Blume

Unknown

Our Blume is a 1-year-old male rabbit who has been spayed. Unfortunately, he had to leave his previous home due to an allergy and is now looking for a new place where he can find peace and happiness again. We wish for Blume a loving home with people who enjoy rabbits and can provide him with a suitable life with plenty of space to hop, explore and feel comfortable. Of course, Blume should not have to spend his future alone! 🐰 He will therefore only be placed with suitable rabbit companions, because companionship is simply part of a happy rabbit life. Who would like to take Blume in and show him that many beautiful adventures await him? ❤️

DE·Show original

About Blume

What life with Blume looks like

Blume is an adult rabbit waiting at Landestierschutzverein Steiermark in Graz.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Blume, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Blume?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Landestierschutzverein Steiermark handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Blume on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Blume if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Landestierschutzverein Steiermark what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Blume already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Landestierschutzverein Steiermark directly what is included and what Blume still needs.
What happens if Blume isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Landestierschutzverein Steiermark early rather than rehoming privately; they know Blume and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
