Klopfer

Male

Our bunny is a neutered male about 1 year old who unfortunately lost his previous home through no fault of his own. Due to an allergy, he could no longer stay with his family. Now we would like to find a new home for the sweet guy where he can be happy again. 🏡 For Klopfer we are looking for loving and responsible people who can provide him with a suitable life with enough space and activity. Since rabbits are very social animals, Klopfer will only be placed with suitable companions. He should not have to live alone in the future, but have one or more bunny friends by his side. 🐰 Who has a place available and would like to give Klopfer a second chance at a nice home?

DE·Show original

About Klopfer

What life with Klopfer looks like

Klopfer is an adult rabbit waiting at Landestierschutzverein Steiermark in Graz.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Frequently asked

Adopting Klopfer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Klopfer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Landestierschutzverein Steiermark handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Klopfer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Klopfer if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Landestierschutzverein Steiermark what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Klopfer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Landestierschutzverein Steiermark directly what is included and what Klopfer still needs.
What happens if Klopfer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Landestierschutzverein Steiermark early rather than rehoming privately; they know Klopfer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
