Bobik

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

Bobik is a dog born in 2020, most likely. This is a dog who has already experienced many difficult experiences. Despite what he has gone through, he has not lost his gentleness and calmness. Health Upon arriving under our care, he was in a very poor condition. He had a large number of ticks, a raised temperature, and was clearly limping on his left leg. Further diagnostics and examinations revealed a fracture of the radius and ulna. There is a high likelihood that the injury was caused by a traffic accident or some other serious incident. Currently, Bobik is awaiting surgery. He is under veterinary care, receiving anti-inflammatory medication, and symptomatic treatment. His character Bobik is a very calm and withdrawn dog. One can see a lot of sadness and fatigue from what he has gone through, but there is no aggression in him. This is a dog who, at this point, more needs quiet, rest, and a sense of security than intense contact or activity. Relationship with humans He allowed himself to be calmly taken outside and did not cause any problems during care. Despite pain and a difficult situation, he maintains his gentleness and calmness. This shows that despite his difficult experiences, he still has the potential to trust humans. Activity and daily functioning At the moment, Bobik moves slowly and cautiously. Due to the injury and his condition, he spends a lot of time resting. On the play area, he did not engage in interactions with other dogs. He most often chose to stay at a distance. What he needs now The most important thing for Bobik at the moment is treatment, regaining mobility, and coming to terms with everything that has happened to him. He needs peace, patience, and time. We have great hope that after treatment, he will regain his zest for life, energy, and joy, which today are hidden under pain and fatigue. Bobik is a dog who has gone through a lot, yet remained gentle and calm. Now, he most needs care and a chance for a better life. We believe that when he recovers, he will show his beautiful, true face. Bobik to psiak urodzony prawdopodobnie w 2020 roku. Potrzebuje spokoju, cierpliwości i czasu. About Bobik

What life with Bobik looks like

Bobik is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
