Bobo

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten · 3 months

Despair - no other word describes what Bobo's mother must have felt. With her five kittens only a few days old, she sought shelter in a yard full of dogs, desperately trying to warm, hide, and somehow keep her babies alive. Fortunately, kind people noticed the small family and brought them to L.I.D.A., the large animal shelter in Olbia. The caregivers fought for each individual life - but three of the five kittens did not make it... Initially, the little tricolor Biba also looked good, but her prognosis is poor... Therefore, the last remaining kitten is now looking for a home in Germany. Bobo is now about three months old and has shiny black fur and that special look that immediately goes to your heart. Together with his mother and his sick sister, he waits in a cage. Waiting to finally have space to play, experience adventures, and discover the world - just as every kitten deserves. We are urgently looking for a loving home where Bobo can experience his childhood and learn how beautiful the world is when you are loved by people. In October, Bobo will be old enough to travel to Germany. He can easily live with cat-understanding children and is also wonderful for cat beginners. Later, he would like to enjoy outdoor access in a traffic-calmed environment and explore nature. In his new home, there should already be playmates of similar age. However, Bobo would also like to bring a cat friend from the shelter. Who has room in their heart and home for a little soul that is now looking for happiness after a difficult start? I look forward to your call or message - and Bobo too. He will travel vaccinated, chipped, and tested for FIV and FeLV. Before departure, he will also receive a parasite prophylaxis.

About Bobo

What life with Bobo looks like

Bobo is a large puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bobo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bobo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bobo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bobo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bobo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bobo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with PfotenFreunde Sardinien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bobo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
