Adopt Bogat-3

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Origin Country: Hungary On May 13, 2026, the quintet consisting of the charming dogs Bogat, Csingiz, Zsanin, Jefte, and Matea from the city of Jászkarajenő arrived at the animal shelter in Kecskemét. Unfortunately, there is no information about their past. They had been living on the streets there, and the mayor informed the Menhely. None of the dogs had chips, and no one came forward to claim them. We hope that the Menhely will only be a short stopover, and they will soon find their own people who will stick by them through thick and thin and never leave them. The five do not necessarily have to be rehomed together. At first, Bogat was a bit intimidated by his new situation. Understandable, with so many dogs, strangers, and the noise... But he has thankfully settled in and is making the most of his new situation. He has also understood that no one at the Menhely wants to harm him. He is a friendly, nice, and lovable guy; the animal shelter is probably already better than his previous life... but it will be even better. He is happy when given time and attention, which was a lack for him until now, and he enjoys cuddles and affection. Bogat stands in the middle of life and wants to be challenged both mentally and physically when he has settled in and adapted. However, at the beginning, he also needs to learn and solidify the dog basics and work with his people to stay on the right path. But he is a clever fellow, and it will definitely be fun working and training with him. Bogat gets along well with his fellow animals and is currently (June 2, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our beloved Bogat, we are looking for outgoing and loving people who can give Bogat everything he likely hasn't experienced before: love, care, security, safety, and 100% family connection. He should finally feel that he is worth something and that there are people who care about him and that he means something to them. He should finally be able to experience daily long and exciting walks, being adequately exercised, receiving guidance, and living his life happily, carefree, and protected as a full-fledged family member. Who will enter a lifelong friendship with Bogat? Bogat can travel from around the end of June 2026 if he finds a home or a foster home.

About Bogat-3

What life with Bogat-3 looks like

Bogat-3 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bogat-3, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bogat-3?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bogat-3 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bogat-3 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bogat-3 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bogat-3 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bogat-3 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
