Bonnie

Mixed Breed Β· Female Β· Senior Β· 12 years

Beautiful Bonnie is definitely your future professional snooze supervisor. She joined All Animals Rescue and Rehome in Essex as an unclaimed stray from the pound. Sadly, she was in a horrific condition, full of lumps and a mouth full of rotten teeth and she also suffers from dry eye. Bonnie is a mature, 12 year old, English Bulldog looking for an adult, peaceful, retirement-style home where she can truly be pampered as the queen of the couch. She has officially mastered the art of peaceful living. She has left all the puppy chaos far behind and is completely dedicated to the finer things in life: comfortable naps, gentle head scratches and being your most loyal shadow. Bonnie gives the gentlest affection and will happily sit right at your feet keeping you company while you read, work, or watch TV. She can also live with other gentle dogs and cats. If you are looking for a gentle, easy-going companion to bring instant warmth and character into your home, Bonnie is ready to fill that position! Bonnie's Microchip says she is 12 years old but this is so hard to believe as her estimated age would be around 6 years old if it wasn’t for the microchip. It just makes it even sadder nobody cared for her in her advancing years. Bonnie comes with the full package of adorable Bulldog wrinkles, a wiggly tail when she sees you, and a soundtrack of soft, happy grunts and content snores that are guaranteed to make you smile every day. She is a low-maintenance roommate: incredibly well-mannered, perfectly house-trained and past the stage of chewing things or bouncing off the walls. She just want comfort, routine and a family to love. She would thrive best in a calm environment where she can soak up all the love, gentle attention, and cosy spot options. Bonnie enjoys life in the slow lane. Her energy level is highly efficient! A very short, leisurely stroll to sniff the grass is plenty of exercise for her. The rest of her day is strictly reserved for lounging. Her older joints aren’t as bouncy as they used to be, so a home with minimal or no major stairs (or a family willing to give her a little lift) would be absolutely perfect. Bonnie has been bred from a lot and had an umbilical hernia that was fixed when she was speyed. She has a condition called dry eye, so she will need regular drops to keep them lubricated. Other than that, she is an absolute doll with the sweetest expression. Surely someone out there has a space for this gorgeous old girl. She has so much gentle affection left to give and can’t wait to find her match. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Can you offer beautiful Bonnie the perfect retirement home she so desperately deserves? About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
