Bonnie

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

BREED: Olde English Bulldog IDEAL HOME: a home with a garden LIVING WITH CHILDREN: I could live with children 12 years plus (I’m bouncy and a bulldozer) LIVING WITH DOGS:I could potentially live with another dog who is well socialised with dog but would be very happy as an only pet too LIVING WITH CATS: I’ve never lived with cats Bonnie is a 2-year-old Olde English Bulldog looking for her forever home. She’s an absolutely lovely girl with a big personality—full of silly antics and a real whirlwind of fun. Bonnie keeps everyone entertained and always has us in stitches with her playful, giddy nature. She came into our care with her mum, Tallulah, and has been a joy to look after. Bonnie could potentially live with another well-socialised dog, pending introductions, as she enjoys canine company. Like many Olde English Bulldogs, Bonnie is affectionate, people-oriented, and loves being part of the action. She has a typical bulldog charm—fun-loving, a little stubborn at times, and full of character. She thrives on human interaction and will make a devoted companion. Due to her excitable and bouncy nature, Bonnie could live with older children who are confident around lively dogs. She may be a bit too giddy for younger children. As a flat-faced (brachycephalic) breed, Bonnie can be prone to breathing difficulties, especially in warm weather or during overexertion. Her new home will need to be mindful of this, ensuring she stays cool, avoids excessive exercise in heat, and is monitored for any signs of breathing distress. Bonnie enjoys her walks and playtime but doesn’t require excessive exercise. Moderate daily walks and plenty of interaction will keep her happy and healthy, with care taken not to overdo it. Bonnie is on a diet and this will need to continue in her new home till she reaches an ideal and appropriate weight for her breed. Interested in adopting Bonnie? Call or contact us.

About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SARA Ann Prosser Foundation in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SARA Ann Prosser Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SARA Ann Prosser Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SARA Ann Prosser Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
