Bonnie

Scottish Fold · Female · Young · 3 years

Bonnie *ca. March 2023: The beautiful Bonnie walked alone and meowing outside a residential area towards her finder in the evening and was taken in by us. The sweet found cat was unfortunately neither spayed nor microchipped and was not reported missing. Bonnie is very sweet and extremely affectionate. She is now waiting for people who want to give her a loving and safe home. We can imagine that Bonnie would also be happy about a cat companion in her new home. Bonnie is waiting to finally arrive and stay forever! She has been dewormed, spayed, microchipped and has had her first vaccination when she left. Bonnie is looking forward to a visit. Note: Scottish Folds can suffer from hereditary cartilage and joint problems. Therefore, a loving home with understanding for possible health needs is particularly important. Further information is available for interested parties in a personal conversation. Foster home: M. M. in Niederlützingen

About Bonnie

What life with Bonnie looks like

Bonnie is a young adult scottish fold cat waiting at Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. in Schalkenbach.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bonnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
