Bonus

Mixed Breed · Male

Bonus is a dog who loves life and people with his whole being! He is joyful, social, and always ready for a game. Every moment spent with a person is the greatest joy for him. There is not a bit of aggression in him, but there is a lot of emotion, enthusiasm, and doggy joy that he is just learning to experience more calmly. He needs support in calming down, controlling emotions, and basic obedience, but he is a dog who really wants to cooperate and gains great satisfaction from contact with a caregiver. We must say this very clearly - Bonus has deformed hind legs, and that is how it will stay. He doesn't move on a cart, walks independently, and manages well in daily life, but he does not look like a 100% normal dog. That is why we are looking for someone who falls in love with him as he is. Without fixing, without expectations, without pretending that you don't see it. Someone who sees a loving, happy dog in him, not his legs. In interactions with other animals, Bonus does very well. Cats interest him in a positive way, he approaches them with curiosity and tries to invite them to play. He does very well with other dogs, and when passing them on walks, he doesn't react. Everything is five plus! On walks, he walks very nicely. He doesn't pull, and he doesn't react nervously to street movement. Due to his mobility limitations, he needs reasonable handling and a calm lifestyle, so we are looking for a home without a large number of stairs and with caregivers who will be attentive to his abilities. We are looking for a permanent home for Bonus. A person who won't be scared that he is not visually perfect, but will see exactly who he really is. Bonus is a wonderful, loved dog who really wants to have his person. — METRICS — 🧮 Age: 06/2024 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: about 9 kilograms 🏀 Activity: high ❤️ Neutered: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Location: Shelter near Płońsk CONTACT IN THE CARE OF ADOPTERS 730-116-503 The phone is answered from Monday to Friday between 10-19, on weekends between 12-16. Koty interesują go w pozytywny sposób, z ciekawością podchodzi i próbuje zaprosić je do zabawy. About Bonus

What life with Bonus looks like

Bonus is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
