Bora

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Bora - a little sunshine searching for her happy ending! Sometimes life begins in a place where no one is supposed to grow up. Bora and her siblings were born in the animal shelter after their mother (seen in the last two photos) had been rescued from terrible conditions. The dog mom had previously spent her life in a terrible breeding facility, locked up with many other small dogs, without security, without freedom, and without what should actually make a dog's life. Fortunately, she was rescued in time and gave birth to her puppies safely in our animal shelter. The volunteers did everything they could so that the puppies would become cheerful, curious, and happy dog children despite their difficult start. And Bora? She has decided to simply love life. This little mouse is a typical puppy: playful, lively, and full of discovery joy. Together with her siblings, she dashes through the enclosure, collects new impressions, and finds everything exciting. Whether it's toys, rustling leaves or the laces of the helpers. Bora wants to get to know the world and be everywhere at once. In doing so, she has this wonderful carefree puppy nature that immediately brings a smile to your face. After wild play sessions, she cuddles up with the volunteers, sleeps and then immediately starts the next adventure. Bora enjoys every attention and is happy about every loving touch. Of course, she still has a lot to learn. Walks, car rides, the dog ABC or relaxed alone time - all of this will be new for Bora. But she has the best prerequisites: openness, curiosity and the joy of discovering the world together with her humans. With loving support, she will surely quickly develop into a wonderful companion. Like any puppy, Bora sometimes has little whims in her head. Maybe a sock disappears or a shoe is curiously examined, but these very small moments make living with a puppy so special and unforgettable. For Bora, we wish people who do not just see her as a cute puppy, but who want to accompany her throughout her entire life. People who grow with her, support her, give her security and love her as a full-fledged family member.

About Bora

What life with Bora looks like

Bora is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
