Boursin

Mixed Breed · Male

Can live with: Other cats and Children aged 10+ 🧀 Say Cheese… It’s Boursin! 🧀 If you’re looking for a cat with a big personality, plenty to say, and even more love to give, then allow us to introduce the wonderful Boursin. Boursin came to RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from a multi-cat household, and from the moment he arrived, we knew this handsome lad was something special. Full of character and charm, Boursin is never shy about letting people know when he’d like some attention. In fact, he’ll happily chat away with his adorable meows until someone stops to give him the fusses he believes he rightfully deserves! This lovable boy has a slightly deformed leg, which may be the result of an injury before he came into our care. While it makes him a little different, it certainly doesn’t slow him down or dampen his spirit. Boursin takes life in his stride and enjoys all the things a happy cat should. Because of his leg, Boursin is looking for a home with access to a safe outdoor space where he can explore and enjoy the fresh air without the risks posed by busy roads. Boursin is the kind of cat who leaves a lasting impression. He’s affectionate, entertaining, wonderfully chatty, and guaranteed to bring plenty of smiles to his future family. If you love cats with larger-than-life personalities and hearts full of love, this cheesy boy could be your perfect match. 🧡 Boursin is ready to melt hearts and settle into a loving forever home. Could you be the one to give this charming lad the happy ending he deserves? 🧡 Scroll through the gallery of images above or click to open

About Boursin

What life with Boursin looks like

Boursin is a large adult mixed breed animal waiting at RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Boursin far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Boursin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Boursin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Boursin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Boursin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Boursin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Boursin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Boursin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
