Brie

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten

09-08-26 Brie is a sweet and affectionate little girl who has come to us with her siblings through no fault of her own. She is a happy, easy-going kitten who loves to explore her surroundings, but she's just as happy curling up for a cuddle. She has a gentle nature and playful personality, and will make a wonderful addition to any cat-loving home. Like all kittens, Brie is still learning about the world around her and will need a family that can provide her with plenty of love, playtime and enrichment as she grows. She will enjoy having lots of toys, scratching posts and opportunities to climb, explore and burn off her kitten energy. Her adopters will need to continue helping her learn all about home life and give her the guidance she needs to grow into a happy, confident adult cat. Brie can live as an indoor-only cat or, once she is fully vaccinated, spayed and has had plenty of time to settle into her new home, she could enjoy access to the outdoors. If she is allowed outside, her home must be away from busy roads and traffic. As she is still very young, it may be best for her to remain indoors until she is a little older and more confident. She is currently in a foster home with children and other cats and is doing really well and would be suited to most homes! She has also met dogs fine and would be happy to be homed with a cat friendly dog. Brie is a wonderful little girl who can't wait to find a family of her own. With lots of love, patience and plenty of fun along the way, she is sure to bring endless joy to her forever home. Her adopters will also need to agree to have her spayed when she is old enough as per the adoption agreement.

About Brie

What life with Brie looks like

Brie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
