Brutus

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 11 months

Brutus is looking for a home ❤️ Dear friends, meet our next senior dog, Brutus. Brutus is an older dog, approximately 10–12 years old. He’s incredibly calm, gentle, and easygoing. He doesn’t need long walks or big adventures—his only wish is to have his own safe little corner and a human who’ll love him just as he is. As befits a senior dog, Brutus walks slowly and suffers from sore paws. He’s also on a Gastro diet, which helps take care of his health. He’s vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered—ready to move into his dream home! 💔 Life hasn’t been kind to him. He’s never had a real home where someone was waiting just for him. Is it really destined that his fate will always be tied to a shelter kennel? Maybe you’re the one who can give him everything every dog dreams of: a cozy patch of floor, a warm bed, gentle touches, and love for the rest of his life. Let’s give Brutus a chance to spend the autumn of his life in peace, safety, and love.

Brutus szuka domu ❤️ Kochani, poznajcie naszego kolejnego psiego seniora Brutusa. 💔 Życie go nie oszczędzało.

About Brutus

What life with Brutus looks like

Brutus is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brutus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brutus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brutus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brutus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brutus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brutus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brutus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
