Bryce

Greyhound · Male · Adult · 6 years

Bryce is a gentle and friendly Greyhound looking for a cosy home to call his own. Based at our Old Windsor Centre, he has been friendly with everyone he has met and enjoys spending time with his favourite people. Bryce loves heading out for his daily walks and is happiest pottering along at a relaxed pace, taking in the world around him. He is a social boy who enjoys spending time with other dogs. Bryce could potentially live with another dog who shares his calm and steady temperament. While he is generally a calm and laid-back boy, he does have the occasional burst of excitement and can sometimes be seen enjoying a few zoomies around a paddock. These playful moments are short-lived though, and before long he's back to his usual gentle self, ready to enjoy some fuss and attention. When he's not out exploring, Bryce can often be found curled up in his bed enjoying a well-earned snooze. He is a big fan of his creature comforts and would love a peaceful home where he can settle in, relax, and enjoy all the cosy spots on offer. Bryce will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate dog to share their days with. If you're searching for a sweet-natured friend who enjoys both gentle adventures and lazy afternoons, Bryce could be the match for you. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Bryce, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest.

About Bryce

What life with Bryce looks like

Bryce is a large adult greyhound dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bryce, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bryce?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bryce on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bryce if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bryce already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bryce isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bryce and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
