Zijn vorige eigenaar kon helaas niet meer goed voor hem zorgen. Buddy is daarna uit het pension gehaald en wacht nu op zijn nieuwe begin. Ondanks alles wat er is gebeurd, heeft Buddy nog volop liefde te geven en geniet hij zichtbaar van aandacht, spel en samen op pad gaan. Bij een eerste kennismaking kan Buddy wat afwachtend zijn naar nieuwe mensen. Vooral grote mannen kan hij in het begin spannend vinden. Hij heeft daarom even de tijd nodig om iemand rustig te leren kennen. Geef je hem die tijd en ruimte, dan komt er een heel andere Buddy tevoorschijn: eenmaal vertrouwd is hij aanhankelijk, gezellig en vindt hij het heerlijk om samen te spelen. Tijdens wandelingen is Buddy een echte ontdekkingsreiziger. Hij is vooral geïnteresseerd in alles wat er om hem heen gebeurt en gaat graag zijn neus achterna. Toch loopt hij netjes en rustig mee aan de riem. Ook met andere honden kan Buddy goed overweg. Groot of klein, hij is sociaal en vindt het prima om honden tegen te komen. Alleen zijn vindt Buddy lastig. Wanneer hij alleen wordt gelaten, kan hij duidelijk van zich laten horen. Daarom zoeken we voor Buddy een thuis bij iemand die bijna altijd thuis is. In zijn nieuwe omgeving zal het alleen zijn heel rustig en stap voor stap moeten worden opgebouwd, zodat Buddy kan leren dat zijn baasje altijd weer terugkomt. Voor Buddy zoeken we een rustig en liefdevol thuis waar hij zichzelf mag zijn, waar zijn grenzen worden gerespecteerd en waar iemand de tijd neemt om een vertrouwensband met hem op te bouwen. Je kunt op het asiel alle tijd nemen om kennis te maken, te gaan wandelen en vragen te stellen aan het gastgezin. Na een positieve eerste kennismaking volgt een tweede afspraak en worden verdere afspraken gemaakt.
