Bugsy

Domestic Shorthair · Male · Adult · 9 years

With his striking good looks, gorgeous white fur and mesmerising eyes, our beautiful Bugsy will have you dazzled not just by his looks, but also his wonderful personality! Once you've captured this boys heart, he'll flood you with all the attention and affection you deserve and even settle onto your lap when he's in a super loving mood. He is looking for a family who are patient and understanding and up for lots of cuddles and adventures too! Bugsy may be charming but that's not the only perk going for him, he is big goof ball and loves to play - whether that's a couple of swings of his string toy or even a nice big cardboard box, he brings a lot of joy and laughter where ever he goes. Bugsy would be happiest living with teens and adults only. Bugsy will need outside access via a cat flap once settled. About Bugsy

What life with Bugsy looks like

Bugsy is a medium-sized adult domestic shorthair cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bugsy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bugsy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bugsy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bugsy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bugsy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bugsy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bugsy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
