Byorn

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

💙 Byorn 💙 SANJ 📍 Location: Croatia, near Zagreb - can be visited 📅 Born on: 15.09.2023 ♂️ Gender: male, unneutered 🩺 Health: all vaccinations present 📄 EU Pet Passport: present 🐶 compatibility with others: gets along well with male dogs & female dogs, also with cats 👫 People: very people-oriented 💙 His Story: Byorn turned up in a village one day. Probably, he was abandoned by his previous owners – unfortunately, a sad reality in Croatia when one wants to "get rid of" an animal. Byorn was lucky: A village resident got in touch with us, and since then, he has been in safety with Sanja. Many other dogs are left in the woods – Byorn belongs to the lucky ones. 💔➡️💙 💙 His Nature: Byorn is an open, friendly, and people-loving male dog. He enjoys attention, closeness, and affection very much and shows himself to be social and uncomplicated. With other dogs – whether male or female – he gets along well and moves confidently in the pack. 🏡 His Dream Home: Byorn is looking for loving people who will finally give him the stability and love he deserves. Whether as a single dog or with an existing dog – he is a great companion and adapts well. ✨ Byorn is a heart dog who simply wants to belong – ready for a new life full of safety and love. Gets along with other dogs.

About Byorn

What life with Byorn looks like

Byorn is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hund sucht Hütte in Austria.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Byorn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Byorn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund sucht Hütte handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Byorn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Byorn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund sucht Hütte will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Byorn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Byorn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund sucht Hütte early rather than rehoming privately; they know Byorn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
