Cabrio &#038

Male · Adult · 4 years

We are Cabrio and Corvetto... and we are each looking for our new forever home. We were seized for animal welfare reasons, are both healthy and already neutered (neutering deadline until August 18th). Guinea pigs are lively and curious animals that live in large groups in their native South America. They are always kept in pairs, or better, in groups. Important: A rabbit cannot replace a guinea pig partner! We appreciate a varied environment, many hiding places and need about 4 to 5 hours of free run daily. For two animals, at least 2 sqm are needed indoors. Would you like to give one of us a place? If interested, please fill out the request form below or call our animal caretakers: tgl 13-16 except Saturdays).

About Cabrio &#038

What life with Cabrio &#038 looks like

Cabrio &#038 is a large adult animal waiting at Tierheim Berlin in Berlin.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Cabrio &#038 far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cabrio &#038, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cabrio &#038?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Berlin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cabrio &#038 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cabrio &#038 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Berlin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cabrio &#038 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cabrio &#038 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Berlin early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cabrio &#038 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
