Meerschweinchen Mistel

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 9 years

On September 3, 2017, the meerschweinchen Google and Mistel moved into our area. They were born around 2015. Until their arrival at our area, they had a good life. Google and Mistel had plenty of space to roam, were fed and housed in an appropriate manner, and were loved. Due to health reasons, the owner of the two needed an assistance dog, who unfortunately had a strong prey drive and did not leave the meerschweinchen alone. Therefore, for safety reasons, they could no longer move freely in the house and garden. The woman did not want to subject them to permanent cage life and asked us if we could take in Google and Mistel. For the two meerschweinchen, life has completely changed, so they were initially quite shy and it was difficult to take photos of them. However, they began to whistle after a short time. In late 2019, Mistel suddenly passed away. To keep Google from being alone, he was taken in by our veterinarian and integrated into a large meerschweinchen group.

Frequently asked

Adopting Meerschweinchen Mistel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Meerschweinchen Mistel?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierlebenshof Hunsrück-Mosel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Meerschweinchen Mistel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Meerschweinchen Mistel if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierlebenshof Hunsrück-Mosel e.V. what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Meerschweinchen Mistel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierlebenshof Hunsrück-Mosel e.V. directly what is included and what Meerschweinchen Mistel still needs.
What happens if Meerschweinchen Mistel isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierlebenshof Hunsrück-Mosel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Meerschweinchen Mistel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
