adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Carly has found its own home! Her story: Sonnenschein Carly was able to travel to her foster family at the beginning of January. From the first day, she is very open and friendly towards people. The sweet Carly enjoys the affection of humans very much and is super loving and relaxed, her proximity is also sought and cuddled extensively. She meets her environment with a relaxed openness and calm curiosity and is a very loving and easily trainable puppy girl. She enchants everyone with her gentle nature and beautiful fur pattern, which ranges from light beige to darker shades on her face. She is the only one with this feature in the litter. Her brown eyes look at you with so much love and gratitude, melting every heart simply. The little Carly is typically playful, funny, and lively and gets along well with the existing dogs in the foster family. She loves walks, goes out happily, and finds everything exciting and great. She travels in the car well and without problems. By now, she is also house-trained. Carly is very agile, attentive, intelligent, and eager to learn. At the moment, Carly is simply a wonderful and sweet puppy that longs for love and attention. But her puberty will not be far off, and she will surely test boundaries and perhaps reconsider some things she has learned. Therefore, we recommend Carly's new people to work with a positively trained dog training class. Patient and loving training will promote her development and strengthen the bond to her trusted people. Originally, the little Carly came from Romania, Bistrita. She was discovered on a supermarket parking lot with her mother Sissi and her siblings Hailey, Emmi, Mali, Akari, Peanut, Monty, Dobby, and Pepito. It is assumed that Sissi was abandoned while pregnant, as the 9-puppy litter was only about 1-2 weeks old. Fortunately, they were found and brought to safety in time. Has the sweet mouse already wrapped you around her little paw? Carly is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive Bianca! Thank you for giving Carly her name and thus her own identity. As of: 21.01.

Vielen Dank an Bianca! Stand: 21.01.2025

About Carly

What life with Carly looks like

Carly is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
