Cersei

Belgian Malinois · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Cersei is cuddly and affectionate girl who loves fuss from her favourite handlers. She is a very clever girl and enjoys learning new tricks. Treats are certainly the way to Cersei’s heart and she will happily take any tasty snack offered to her! Cersei can be worried by high traffic areas so would like to live in a quieter rural location. She will need adopters actively involved in training and committed to continuing her socialisation with people and other dogs. Cersei could live with a well-matched dog. Due to Cersei being worried when first meeting new people and dogs, she would need a private garden to allow her off-lead time to play and relax. Cersei could live with dog-savvy secondary school age children who are confident with big, boisterous dogs. As Cersei can be worried meeting new people she would need minimal visitors to the home until she is more confident and comfortable.

About Cersei

What life with Cersei looks like

Cersei is a large puppy/kitten belgian malinois dog waiting at Dogs Trust Harefield in Harefield.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cersei, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cersei?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Harefield handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cersei on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cersei if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Harefield will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cersei already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cersei isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Harefield early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cersei and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
