Cezar – Patin gefunden

Mixed Breed · Male

Even during our visit in November 24, we were impressed by the gentle giant. At eight years old, Cezar is still fit and nothing can ruffle his feathers. He enjoys being petted and given treats. The imposing male dog was rescued from Ancsa's overcrowded euthanasia shelter. He belonged to an 80-year-old man who barely took care of his dog. So, Cezar wandered off from the property out of boredom and had been brought to the euthanasia shelter several times in the past. This time, the man said he no longer wanted Cezar. Unfortunately, no one took an interest in Cezar, and his fate seemed sealed. Now, the Central Asian Owczarka lives at Ancsa's animal shelter with Jozsi and shows a friendly and content demeanor. We met Cezar during our November visit. He was very friendly to strangers but not pushy. There was a sadness in his gaze and behavior, almost a resignation. Although he has one of the largest enclosures at the shelter, it is a cramped prison for him, and Cezar often lies around, bored, observing the goings-on. Sometimes, when he is let out to roam freely and sees Jozsi, something of his vitality returns, and Cezar takes off. In the presence of other dogs from their enclosures, the big guy behaves with authority and ignores them. Cezar would love to give his heart another chance. He would likely be content with little. A loving owner and a house with a garden where he can bask in the sun and observe his surroundings. Who has a place of mercy for Cezar? The chances of finding an appropriate living place for the giant are unfortunately slim. He is quite imposing and, due to his genetic predisposition, not an easy dog to manage. Cezar has spent his life outdoors, and it is uncertain whether he would adapt to indoor living. Ideally, he would live on a large, securely fenced property where he can guard. Of course, there should be a family connection, and the option to come inside if desired. It should be as quiet and with minimal public traffic as possible. Owczarkas are herding dogs, calm within themselves, but if they believe they must defend their people, livestock, or the farm, they do so with great zeal and determination. Toward strangers, they are naturally suspicious, and they often do not get along with other dogs. It should also be noted that Central Asian Owczarkas are on the watch list in some federal states and cannot be rehomed there. Of course, we hope that the needle in the haystack will be found for Cezar. A heartfelt thank you to the godmother for the wonderful support!

About Cezar – Patin gefunden

What life with Cezar – Patin gefunden looks like

Cezar – Patin gefunden is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fellfreunde e.V. in Solingen.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cezar – Patin gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cezar – Patin gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fellfreunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cezar – Patin gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cezar – Patin gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fellfreunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cezar – Patin gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cezar – Patin gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fellfreunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cezar – Patin gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
