Chester (geb. 2014) ist ein Senior-Bernhardiner oder Moskauer Wächter. Genaue Informationen haben wir nicht, denn er wurde im Wald angebunden aufgefunden. Nun wünschen wir uns für den armen alten Kerl nichts sehnlicher als ein Zuhause. Chester ist ein ganz umgänglicher Kerl. Allerdings ab und zu grummelig. Klarheit in der Kommunikation und berechenbare Handlungen helfen ihm. Zu viel Nähe und Kraulen schlagen schnell in Abwehr um. Vermutlich kennt er es einfach nicht in der Intensität und ist damit überfordert. Jedoch brauchen wir Menschen, ohne kleine Kinder, die damit umgehen können, dass Chester kein absoluter Kuschelhund ist. Aber er genießt jede Interaktion mit seinen Menschen. Er ist ein richtiger Soldat, der sich stets an seinen Begleitern orientiert. - Und er hat auch riesig Freude daran und wartet geradezu darauf etwas für sie tun zu können. Allerdings ist er auch schnell KO. Pausen sind ein Muss. Durchs Wasser laufen und das Schilf beschnuppern findet er gut. Er ist ein Strahlemann, der aus der Ferne nicht sonderlich interessiert an anderen Hunden ist. Im näheren Umfeld aber, hat er den Hang dazu andere größere Hunde zu maßregeln, zu kontrollieren und über die Spielregeln zu bestimmen. Diese Eigenschaften machen Chester per se nicht unverträglich, gestalten jedoch ein Rudelleben eher kompliziert. Für Chester wünschen wir uns ein möglichst ebenerdiges Zuhause, ohne andere Hunde, mit erfahrenen Menschen, die ihm ein würdiges letztes Zuhause schenken.
