Chicken

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 3 months

Let me introduce ourselves, we are Chicken and Lamby. Although our foster parents have lots of nicknames for us. We are 13 weeks old and come as a package deal, inseparable and bonded like no other. Where 1 of us is the other is never far behind 😻 We didn’t have the best start to our lives but our foster parents really have done an amazing job in turning us into chubby little kittens who are food obsessed! In true calico fashion we are sassy and have vocal personalities, chatty Cathy is what our foster parents say. Saying that… we are truly snuggle monsters, love nothing more than sleeping next to you, on top of you, on your head, on your back, and sometimes on your face and we will purr the second you look at us because lets be honest… we are blinking adorable. That's roughly 2 in human years, so I'm still a Kitten.

About Chicken

What life with Chicken looks like

Chicken is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Catitude Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chicken, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chicken?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Catitude Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chicken on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chicken if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Catitude Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Chicken already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chicken isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Catitude Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chicken and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
