Adopt Churan

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Churan - Original lady Status: For adoption There are dogs that enter a person's life like a hurricane. And there are those that first stand at the threshold, look carefully... and then take a step. Churan belongs to the second group. And she has really a lot of husky in her - independence, emotional nature and that characteristic "conversation", which is hard to confuse with anyone else. In the house she is friendly towards her people, but she is not the type of couch cuddler. She doesn't jump on laps or demand constant affection. She likes to be nearby. With strangers she is open, although she can quickly get excited - an excess of stimuli and too intense touching makes her try to grab hands. It's not anger, it's emotions, with which she is still learning to cope. That's why we are looking for a quiet home for her, without children. She is not suitable for cats. But with dogs? She is wonderful. Whether it's a puppy or an adult dog - Churan perfectly catches contact, finds herself in relationships and really enjoys them. She keeps the house 100% clean and only goes outside. She can be left alone without problems - she rests in a kennel, whether other dogs are in the house or when she is alone. On walks, she can pull at first with excitement, because the world is fascinating for her. She explores a lot, sniffs a lot, absorbs the environment with all her being - a typical husky spirit of discovery. She handles the car well. At the vet she turns into a dramatic artist - when holding her paws or other procedures, she turns on the alarm siren. At home she doesn't bark. She howls - like a true northern spirit. Churan needs a caregiver who understands huskies: independent, emotional, sensitive and smart. This is not a dog for everyone. But for the right person, she will be an extraordinary, loyal companion. About Churan

What life with Churan looks like

Churan is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Churan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Churan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Churan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Churan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Churan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Churan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Churan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
