Rainbow (2017) is a gentle, calm cockatiil hen with a special charm. She came from poor husbandry and has liver problems, so an attentive, responsible home is important for her. CLOUDY, a friendly cockatiil cock of unknown age, who came to the animal shelter Bremen as a found animal. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his past. For his part, he brings openness and curiosity into the relationship. Our cockatiil lady Rainbow had to wait a long time. After the loss of her earlier partner, she sat alone with us for almost a year—without hope of her own home. As she should not have to remain without a companion, we set out to find a companion for her and found the cockatiil cock CLOUDY at the animal shelter Bremen. The companionship between the two was successful: Rainbow and CLOUDY complement each other wonderfully and support each other. From two individual fates, a small team has become, which now only wants to move into a new home together. For Rainbow and CLOUDY, we wish for either their own bird room or a generous aviary with daily flight time. The size of the aviary should be adjusted to the duration of the flights. The two colorful, feathered friends would also like to join an existing flock of other grass or waxbills. These two brightly colored, feathered friends are looking for a place where they are welcome, lovingly cared for, and can continue their shared bird happiness.
