Coccolino

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 4 months

Coccolino was rescued from the streets when he was still a tiny kitten, and his personality began showing almost immediately. From his very first day in safety, he was loving, funny, and completely comfortable showing everyone his sillier side. Growing up has not changed that very much. Coccolino has what many cat lovers affectionately recognise as classic orange cat energy. Of course, coat colour does not actually determine personality, but Coccolino seems determined to support the stereotype anyway. He approaches life with enormous curiosity, considerable confidence, and occasionally rather questionable judgement. He can be wonderfully silly, interested in whatever is happening around him, and completely unaware that something he is doing might look ridiculous to everyone else. The funniest part is his face. Coccolino has a naturally serious expression that can make him look as though he is contemplating something extremely important. Anyone judging him purely from a photograph might expect a dignified and sensible gentleman. They would be mistaken. Behind that serious expression is a goofy, affectionate cat who does not take life nearly as seriously as his face suggests. Coccolino loves people and has been affectionate since the beginning. He enjoys attention and being included, and his naturally loving personality makes him a cat who enjoys having a relationship with the humans around him. He is also surprisingly cooperative when the camera appears. Coccolino enjoys wearing different ties and posing for photographs, something he manages to do with an impressively serious expression despite the situation. Over time he has modelled several different looks, but there is one clear favourite. His red bow tie. It suits him so well that it has effectively become part of his signature look. Coccolino can sit there wearing his little red bow tie, staring seriously into the camera as though he has just arrived for an important business meeting, while everyone who actually knows him is fully aware that the dignified appearance is misleading. His future family should expect a cat who brings humour into ordinary life. Coccolino’s goofy personality means that his entertainment value does not necessarily depend on elaborate toys or planned activities. Sometimes simply watching what he decides to investigate, where he chooses to sit, or what idea has entered his head is enough. Like any curious cat, he will benefit from an environment that gives him appropriate ways to explore and entertain himself. Scratching areas, interactive toys, climbing opportunities, comfortable resting places, and regular play will allow him to use that curiosity constructively. His playful side should not overshadow how affectionate he is. Coccolino has been loving towards people since he was first rescued as a tiny kitten. He has grown up knowing that humans can provide affection, attention, safety, and apparently an extensive collection of formalwear. There is a confidence to Coccolino that makes his personality particularly noticeable. He does not need to work very hard to be funny because much of the humour comes naturally from the contrast between how he looks and how he actually behaves. The face says serious. The personality says orange cat. Coccolino would suit someone looking for an affectionate cat with plenty of character who will become a noticeable part of everyday household life. His family should enjoy interaction, play, and having a cat whose personality is likely to provide plenty of stories and photographs over the years. And while wearing ties is obviously not a requirement for his future happiness, anyone adopting Coccolino should probably make sure his red bow tie makes the journey with him. A gentleman has standards, even when he is only pretending to be one.

About Coccolino

What life with Coccolino looks like

Coccolino is a small kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Amospet in Skopje.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇲🇰Adopting from North Macedonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coccolino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coccolino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Amospet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coccolino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coccolino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Amospet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Coccolino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coccolino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Amospet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coccolino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
