Adopt COCO

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 10 months

Name: COCO Gender: Female Born: November 2024 At the Ark since: 07.04.2026 Origin: Euthanasia station Shoulder height: 53 cm. Weight: 15 kg Compatible with children: Not familiar with children yet Dogs: Yes Vaccinated and microchipped: Yes Pet license: Yes Coco is our bundle of energy on four paws. The young female dog is full of joy for life and often finds it hard to control this energy. COCO approaches people openly, loves company and shows herself to be completely uncomplicated and friendly in interactions. New situations, unfamiliar people or other animals are no problem for her. She is especially enthusiastic about movement and activity. Whether long walks, dog sports or shared adventures, she is fully committed and would thus be ideal for active people who enjoy working with their dog and challenging him both physically and mentally. Coco is compatible with other dogs, so we can also easily imagine her as a second dog. She has already met horses and likes them very much. COCO has a proper temperament and needs people who give her clear structures and boundaries to prevent unnecessary problems from arising in the first place. Rest training and a loving but consistent education are therefore particularly important so that she learns to relax sometimes. As a family dog, COCO is also suitable, but children should already be sturdy, as she can sometimes be quite exuberant. We can imagine COCO with motivated beginner dog owners, provided there is a willingness to engage intensively with training and education - ideally with the support of a dog training class. Anyone looking for a cheerful, active and people-oriented companion will find a loyal partner for life in her.

About COCO

What life with COCO looks like

COCO is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting COCO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about COCO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw COCO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt COCO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is COCO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if COCO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know COCO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
