Coco

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Coco is looking for her happiness – maybe with you? 🐾 The charming Coco was born in January 2025 and has already experienced more in her young life than a dog should ever have. She was rescued from the killing station in Lancrăm – a place where her story could have ended. But Coco got a second chance and is now waiting in our animal shelter ASIPA in Romania for the best chapter of her life: a family of her own. We don't know what Coco experienced before her rescue. But one thing we know for sure: she has not lost her trust in people. The young female dog is extremely friendly, affectionate and open-minded towards people. She also gets along very well with other dogs and meets them socially and uncomplicatedly. Coco wants people to show her how beautiful a sheltered dog life can be – with joint walks, a soft basket, loving caresses and the security of finally being there. She still has her whole life ahead of her and will give her family a lot of joy with her friendly nature. When she leaves, Coco is of course spayed, fully vaccinated, chipped and has an EU pet passport. 📍 Coco will be placed after a positive preliminary check, with a protection contract and for a deposit of €490. Who will give this wonderful young female dog the chance at a life full of love and security? Coco is waiting in Romania for her happy ending – maybe her journey begins right with you. ❤️🐾 📩 Would you like to give Coco a loving home? About Coco

What life with Coco looks like

Coco is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
