🐾 Coconut is looking for her forever home 🐾 Coconut D2026-56 🐢 3-year-old King Charles Cavalier βœ‚οΈ Neutered πŸ’‰ Vaccinated, microchipped & up to date with flea and wormer πŸ›‘οΈ Comes with 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance πŸ“ Fostered in Cardiff Coconut is a lovely little lady who is now ready to find her forever family. πŸ’• She is a friendly, gentle girl with a lovely waggly tail and absolutely adores having her chin stroked. She is good with people she knows and has also met a few new people while out in the garden. She can bark when someone new comes into the house, but this is more of an announcement than anything else β€” once they give her some attention, she soon settles. Coconut is quite a watchful little dog and likes to know what her humans are up to. If she can't see you, she'll go looking to find out where you've disappeared to! She enjoys a cuddle, although she's not a constant cuddle monster and is equally happy relaxing nearby. 🏑 Coconut would suit a quiet family home or a home with older people. She can live with dog-savvy children aged 10+ . πŸ• Coconut is great around other dogs and can be an only dog provided she has regular doggy friends, although her ideal home would be with another friendly, settled dog . She enjoys having canine company and is good around other dogs, including when eating. 🐱 She has not been cat or small-furry tested . 🧸 Coconut has recently shown an interest in a few soft toys, although she hasn't quite worked out the whole β€œplaying with them” thing yet! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ She is happy to have her harness and lead put on, but she's currently rather stubborn about the actual walking part! Her new family will need to be patient and help her build confidence and learn that going out for walks can be fun. 🏠 Coconut is housetrained . During the day she likes to find a comfy spot wherever suits her β€” lately, the cool mat by the living room door has been her favourite. At night she has access to

About Coconut

What life with Coconut looks like

Coconut is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Friends of Animals Wales in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coconut, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coconut?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Friends of Animals Wales handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coconut on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coconut if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Friends of Animals Wales will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coconut already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coconut isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Friends of Animals Wales early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coconut and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
