In Romania, you come across dogs everywhere. It's still very common, for example, in factory areas and company yards, where dog populations live. The dogs serve as yard guards and, as a result, the employees usually feed them. Sometimes kind-hearted people take homeless dogs to their workplaces, so that they have a safe place to live. This is how Cooper and his siblings ended up in a company yard. A kind-hearted employee saved the puppies and took care of them, but as the dogs grew up, they started annoying the company owner. Therefore, eventually he wanted to get rid of them and they ended up at Care for Dogs shelter kennel. Other siblings have continued their journey to their own homes over the years, but previously shy Cooper has already been waiting at the shelter kennel for many years. Cooper is basically a happy and fairly easygoing dog. He is usually always at the fence welcoming familiar people and is very excited about attention. He enjoys being petted by familiar people, but being handled and touched is still stressful. If handled calmly, Cooper allows familiar people to perform the necessary treatments smoothly. From such a stressful situation, Cooper usually recovers quickly and is soon asking for attention again. Putting on a halter has been too stressful for Cooper. Cooper also welcomes new visitors who come with familiar people happily and quickly becomes friends with new people especially through names. The boy is very personable and the shelter kennel has unfortunately accumulated a considerable amount of extra weight over the years. Cooper was somewhat reactive towards new people when younger, but has calmed down and become much more balanced in recent years. This behavior was most evident in situations where something unexpected happened and the surrounding dogs also reacted. At that time Cooper could bark at strangers and sometimes grab clothes of a person leaving the area. This behavior has not been seen for a long time, but it is good to remember that stress and tension caused by travel can increase sensitivity to reactivity. Cooper has lived in various different setups at the shelter kennel and has gotten along well with other dogs. In the last few years, his kennel mates have been female dog. For Cooper, having a social and pleasant female dog at home would be a great help. Cooper is looking for a calm home, where there is plenty of experience with rescue dogs and understanding of the dog's uncertainty and reactive behavior. Cooper has not seen anything other than the shed walls for years, so the entire outside world is more or less new to him.

Romaniassa koiriin törmää joka puolella. On edelleen kovin yleistä, että esimerkiksi tehdasalueilla ja yritysten pihoilla asuu koirapopulaatioita. Koirat toimivat tontin vartijoina ja yleensä tämän ansiosta työntekijät ruokkivat heitä. Toisinaan hyväsydämiset ihmiset ottavat kodittomia koiria työpaikalleen, jotta näillä olisi suojaisa paikka elää. Näin myös Cooper sisaruksineen päätyi erään yrityksen tontille pentuina. Eräs hyväsydäminen työntekijä pelasti pennut ja piti heistä huolta, mutta vuosien mittaan isoksi kasvaneet koirat alkoivat ärsyttää yrityksen omistajaa. Niinpä lopulta hän halusi koirista eroon ja he päätyivät Care for Dogsin tarhalle. Muut sisarukset ovat vuosien mittaan jatkaneet matkaa omiin koteihin, mutta aiemmin ujo Cooper on ehtinyt odottaa tarhalla jo monen monta vuotta.Cooper on perusolemukseltaan iloinen ja melko huoleton. Hän on yleensä aina aidalla vastassa tuttuja ihmisiä ja riemastuu kovasti huomiosta. Hän viihtyy tuttujen rapsuteltavana, mutta kiinnipitäminen ja käsittely on vielä jännittävää. Rauhallisesti käsiteltäessä Cooper antaa tuttujen ihmisten kuitenkin tehdä hoitotoimenpiteet hienosti. Tällaisesta jännittävästä tilanteesta hän palautuu useimmiten nopeasti ja on pian taas pyytämässä huomiota. Valjaiden pukeminen on ollut Cooperille vielä liian jännittävää. Cooper ottaa myös tuttujen mukana tulevat uudet vierailijat vastaan iloisena ja ystävystyy etenkin namien avulla uusiinkin ihmisin melko nopeasti. Poika on kovin perso ruualle ja tarhalla on vuosien varrella valitettavasti päässyt kertymään aikamoinen määrä liikakiloja. Cooper oli nuorempana jonkin verran reaktiivinen uusia ihmisiä kohtaan, mutta on rauhoittunut ja tasapainoittunut viime vuosina kovasti. Tämä käytös näkyi lähinnä tilanteissa, joissa tapahtui jotain yllättävää ja ympärillä olevat koirat reagoivat myös. Silloin Cooper saattoi haukkua vieraille ja joskus napata vaatteista kiinni paikalta poistuvaa ihmistä. Tätä käytöstä ei ole näkynyt pitkään aikaan, mutta on hyvä muistaa, että esimerkiksi matkasta aiheutuva stressi ja jännitys voivat lisätä herkkyyttä reaktiivisuudelle. Cooper on asunut tarhalla useammissa erilaisissa kokoonpanoissa ja tullut hyvin toimeen muiden koirien kanssa. Viimeisten muutaman vuoden aikana häkkikaverit ovat olleet narttuja. Kotona Cooperille voisi olla suureksi avuksi sosiaalinen ja mukava narttukoira. Cooper etsii rauhallista kotia, jossa on reilusti kokemusta rescuekoirista ja ymmärrystä koiran epävarmuudesta ja reaktiivisesta käytöksestä. Cooper ei ole vuosiin nähnyt mitään muuta kuin häkin seinät, joten koko ulkopuolinen maailma on hänelle enemmän tai vähemmän uutta.
