Adopt Corinna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Our Corinna is a happy and friendly girl who has grown up together with her brother Vincent. They have stuck together through all situations – with Vincent as the guide and Corinna as the loyal follower. Periodically, other dogs have also been included in their little pack. Corinna has a good dog language and easily makes a good connection with other kind and welcoming dogs. Affectionate and playful dogs make her a bit unsure. She would be very happy to have a friendly dog companion in her future home. Cats, however, are a mystery to her. Like most of our dogs, Corinna has also chosen her favorite people with whom she loves to interact. She also gets to know new people as long as they don’t intrude. Corinna is extremely gregarious and shows with her whole body language how nice a girl she is. On walks (which are fun), she can have Vincent as support. If she feels insecure, she looks at him or her handler – and then feels much better. The sight of the paddock’s horses and cows always amazes her, and she has a serious discussion with them. For our lovely Corinna, we now seek the loving forever home in a quiet environment, where it’s a bit quieter at home. No children in the home. One should enjoy being out in the forest and fields, as Corinna really enjoys being able to roam around and just “be and experience.” She would be grateful for a friendly dog companion at home who can be her support in everything new. It’s worth noting that like most of our dogs, Corinna has also grown up in a very protected environment. She can never be pressured where she feels insecure with new people or new environments. All progress should be richly rewarded. BackgroundNot even two months old, Corinna and her brother Vincent were dumped. One morning at the end of icy November, a bundled sack lay on the path to the paddock. The sack moved, and faint whimpers were heard inside. Another example of how small litters are treated with a lack of consideration in this region.

About Corinna

What life with Corinna looks like

Corinna is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundhjälpen in Stockholm.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Corinna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Corinna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundhjälpen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Corinna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Corinna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundhjälpen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Corinna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Corinna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundhjälpen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Corinna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
