Csipesz

Male · Young · 1 year

Country of origin: Hungary Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes Dewormed: yes Disability: Patellar luxation Compatible with children: yes Compatible with cats: N/A Csipesz—a people-oriented and cheerful young male dog—is one year old and fully ready to start a “new” life. He had been living with an elderly man who, although kind to him, was unfortunately no longer able to care for him due to illness. That’s how Csipesz ended up at our animal shelter in Hungary. Currently, he is in foster care in the canton of Thurgau, where he lives with a family and other dogs. Csipesz is an energetic and clever little fellow. He loves being active and enjoys doing things and learning together with his people. We can easily picture Csipesz with active individuals who, like him, love spending time outdoors in nature. Activities such as hiking or canine sports like mantrailing would certainly bring him great joy. It would also be beneficial for him to attend a good dog school to further solidify his “dog ABCs” and to continue guiding him on his journey with friendly yet consistent training. Csipesz has been diagnosed with a mild patellar luxation. He runs and moves normally, but it’s best to avoid highly demanding athletic activities such as agility. On the other hand, sensible muscle-building exercises would be very beneficial. Who will fall in love with this handsome young Fox Terrier male? Csipesz is currently in foster care in the canton of Thurgau. Please do not send any questionnaires to animal-happyend. If you’re interested, feel free to contact us. Thank you very much!

Bitte keinen Fragebogen an animal-happyend senden. Vielen Dank!

About Csipesz

What life with Csipesz looks like

Csipesz is a small young adult dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Csipesz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Csipesz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Csipesz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Csipesz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Csipesz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Csipesz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Csipesz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
