Daisy 3

Mixed Breed · Female

Daisy (3) Beautiful Daisy turned 2 in August, her owners have made the sad decision to find her a new home because they say that she is a very nervous dog, she is very reactive towards some dogs and new people and we are really starting to struggle with her, having no experience with a dog quite like her before. Their work and education commitments have also changed so they no longer feel that they give her the amount of time she needs to help her. She had been going to daycare but found it too stressful with so many different dogs changing daily, so they stopped. When Daisy gets to know a dog or a person and feels comfortable with them she will always gravitate towards them with excitement for cuddles and affection. She’s also a very sensitive and intuitive girl, always seeming to know when they are feeling down or unwell and tries to comfort you with wonderful cuddles and shows lots of love in her gentle way. Daisy is a verbal girl and will bark at things she deems scary like children or dogs that run up to her, she will also bark at cats, we don’t know her reaction to livestock because she’s never been introduced to them. She does live with two children aged 8 and 6 and she’s been wonderful with them, loving cuddles and attention from them both. Daisy is a good traveller but she will bark when parked if people walk right next to the car. When Daisy is left at home she’s happy to snooze in her crate for 2-3 hours, when the family are home she will happily snooze on the sofa next to them. Daisy’s owners walk her on a Halti and use a long line because they aren’t confident that she will recall when needed. She is a healthy, vaccinated girl who hasn’t been neutered yet but this will be done when she’s ready by our charity. If you feel you have the time and patience to work with this sweet girl, please contact us. Daisy is currently in the Glasgow area and will be rehomed with her 5 weeks free Agria insurance and her Adoption Contract. GSP Rescue UK Terms and Conditions apply. 💟🐾🐾 © GSP Rescue UK 2016–2026 GSP Rescue UK is a working name of German Shorthaired Pointer Trust, a Registered Charity in England & Wales No. 1172457

About Daisy 3

What life with Daisy 3 looks like

Daisy 3 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at GSP Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy 3, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy 3?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GSP Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy 3 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy 3 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GSP Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy 3 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy 3 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GSP Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy 3 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
