Daisy

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Kitten

Personality:Daisy is a loving girl. Once she gets to know you, she will often come out to see you when called and will greet with a headbutt. She is sensitive especially around new sounds or movements so she prefers being socialised during quieter times with little disruption. Behaviour:Daisy enjoys having a fuss and purrs away during this. She brushes up against her socialisers and will continue to check in with them whilst investigating around her unit. She can sometimes get worried by external sounds and pause whilst she looks to see what’s going on. In her previous home her owner said she was a lap cat and although she has not yet been brave enough in the cattery environment, we believe that in a calm and predictable household, she will feel safer to do so again. Housing:Daisy does prefer the safety of her unit and finds new surroundings a little scary, so for this reason she would need her own unused room to initially settle in before exploring the rest of the property, and eventually a garden. She cannot be homed in Thornhill area of Southampton. Children/pets:Daisy would benefit from being the only pet in an adult only household due to her shy nature. She could have visiting children of junior school aged. Vet history:Daisy is neutered, microchipped, flea and wormed. Her second vaccination is due between 27/10 – 3/11 at the shelter and the cost is included in the adoption fee. Daisy has no known medical conditions. When she arrived in our care she had scabs due to fleas however her coat condition is improving well. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is Β£120. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated.

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
