How do I contact the shelter about Daphne?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daphne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Daphne if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Daphne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Daphne isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daphne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Daphne

Chihuahua · Female · Puppy

Personality:Daphne is a super friendly little girl once she has formed a bond with you. Her cheeky playful side has really started to shine through as she becomes more confident. She enjoys being out exploring the world but is also just as happy cuddling up to you. Behaviour:She is quick to learn but at only 9 months old she would benefit from training/socialisation classes to boost her confidence. She has a lot of love to give and given time to settle, she will become the most loyal and fun addition to a family. Housing:Daphne would benefit from having a private enclosed garden for playing and zoomies, she would also prefer to have a quiet area of the house to be able to relax. Daphne can not rehomed to the po15 area. Children/pets:Daphne will need to be the only pet in the home. She does find too much noise overwhelming so would benefit from a quieter household, we would consider homing with children of secondary school age pending successful meetings at the centre. Vet history:She is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. About Daphne

What life with Daphne looks like

Daphne is a puppy/kitten chihuahua dog waiting at RSPCA Solent Branch CIO - The Stubbington Ark in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.
