Dexter & Dee Dee
Podenco · Male · Puppy · 5 months
These two beautiful siblings had a very rough start to life out in the wild and were completely terrified when they first arrived. Thanks to a wonderful foster home they have completely left their fears behind. Today they are incredibly brave, tough and absolutely amazing with other dogs. While they might still be a bit insecure at the beginning in new situations, their curiosity and confidence always win! Both puppies will likely grow into medium to large dogs. They absolutely love playing in the water, are extremely food motivated and have developed into two distinct and wonderful personalities. Dexter is the sweet boy with the lighter coat and bright eyes. He is incredibly affectionate and seeks close physical contact with his humans. Once he has soaked up enough cuddles he loves to play with his sister or other dogs. He is very good at relaxing by himself and loves a good chew. Dee Dee has a darker face and beautiful dark eyes. She is a very clever girl who learns incredibly fast and absolutely loves trick training and mental stimulation. She can be slightly more cautious with new people at first, but once she observes you and realizes you are safe she connects deeply. She loves to play and is great at keeping herself busy with toys or sticks. For both Dexter and Dee Dee we are looking for loving homes where a confident and balanced adult dog already lives to show them the ropes. We prefer to find them individual homes but would consider a joint adoption for the perfect family. Their new humans need patience and the willingness to continue their fair and completely needs oriented training.
