Update February 2025: Dexter has developed into a smart, very intelligent dog, a working dog. He is not an ordinary pet dog, but a dog that needs a task and must be put to work with good, competent guidance. Probably there is Herder in his blood. Are you the one who can offer this dog what he needs? Please contact us! In addition, he may remain with his nice caretakers, and we are looking for virtual adopters for him so that he can enjoy a good life in Romania. Nice Dexter lived on the street. He was lucky that rescuer Ioana found him. He was about 1 year old then and had a large wound on his head. After treatment by the vet, she took him to her shelter and since then he has been staying in the small shelter in Odorheiu. He has already been there too long. Dexter is a very nice dog who enjoys doing fun games with the caretakers. With a treat, his motivation is boundless. He has a lot of energy and likes to be busy and also enjoys playing with the other dogs in the shelter. His energy cannot be sufficiently released in the shelter. Therefore, we are looking for a sporty, nice owner who likes to go long walks with him. Sometimes, when the caretakers have time available, Dexter is allowed to walk with them. He really enjoys that. Unfortunately, this happens too little due to the busy work and the necessary attention for the other dogs. Of course, this lovely dog would like to go for a walk every day. It is a devoted, owner-oriented dog who deserves one-on-one attention. He will naturally have to get used to his new environment with his new owner. But once accustomed, he could look forward to a wonderful sporting future with a nice owner. Update feb. 2025: Dexter heeft zich inmiddels ontwikkeld tot een, slimme, heel intelligente hond, een werkhond. Hij is geen gewone huishond, maar een hond die met goede, competente begeleiding een taak moet hebben en aan het werk gezet moet worden. Waarschijnlijk zit er Herder in zijn bloed. Ben je diegene die deze hond kan bieden wat hij nodig heeft, neem zeker contact met ons op! Verder mag hij bij zijn fijne verzorgers blijven en wij zoeken virtuele adoptanten voor hem zodat hij in Roemenië van een fijn leven kan genieten. Mooie Dexter leefde op straat. Hij heeft mazzel gehad dat rescuer Ioana hem vond. Hij was toen ca 1 jaar oud en had een grote wond aan zijn hoofd. Na behandeling bij de dierenarts nam ze hem mee naar haar shelter en sindsdien verblijft hij in de kleine shelter in Odorheiu. Daar zit hij alweer veel te lang. Dexter is een ontzettend leuke hond die ervan geniet om leuke spelletjes met de verzorgers te doen. Met een voertje erbij is zijn motivatie grenzeloos. Hij heeft veel energie en is graag bezig en vindt het ook leuk om met de andere honden in de shelter te spelen. Zijn energie kan hij niet voldoende kwijt in de shelter. We zoeken daarom een sportieve, leuke baas die graag lange wandelingen met hem maakt. Soms, als de verzorgers tijd vrij kunnen maken, mag Dexter met hen mee wandelen. Daar geniet hij enorm van. Helaas gebeurt dit door de drukke werkzaamheden en de nodige aandacht voor de andere honden veel te weinig. Want natuurlijk wil deze leukerd graag elke dag wandelen. Het is een aanhankelijke, baasgerichte hond die het verdient om één-op-één aandacht te krijgen. Hij zal natuurlijk aan zijn nieuwe omgeving moeten wennen bij zijn nieuwe baas. Maar eenmaal gewend, zou hij een heerlijke sportieve toekomst bij een fijne baas tegemoet kunnen gaan.
